Jerejak Rainforest Resort rests serenely on Pulau Jerejak (Jerejak Island). This 362-hectare island is a mere 10-minute ferry ride away from Penang Island in the western coast of the Malaysian Peninsula.

In the late 1960s, the island earned the notoriety of being the country’s Alcatraz, because of the presence of a penal colony, but Jerejak now embraces its new reputation as a recovered paradise. Aside from its colourful history, the island is well known for its exotic flora and fauna.

Jerejak Island can also be reached by air and by road from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
